The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées has announced a cast change for its upcoming performance of R. Strauss’ “Die Frau ohne Schatten.”

The company announced that Lise Lindstrom will replace Amber Wagner in the role of the Dyer’s Wife.

Lindstrom is a recognized soprano known for her interpretation of Turandot. The soprano has also performed the roles of Brunnhilde, Salome, and Elektra. This season she sings “Salome” at the Houston Grand Opera and sings “Die Frau ohne Schatten” in Dortmund and Rotterdam.

Wagner recently canceled her upcoming production of “Turandot” at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and currently has no upcoming performances scheduled.

Lindstrom joins a cast that includes Michaela Schuster, Elza van den Heever, Stephen Gould, and Michael Volle. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest.

The concert performance will be held on Feb. 17, 2020.
