The event, which will begin at 1 p.m. ET, will feature the rising star live from the Royal Oscarshall Palace in Oslo, where the soprano sang after winning Norway’s Queen Sonja Competition in 2015.

The program, which will feature piano accompaniment by James Baillieu, will include selections from Wagner’s “Tannhäuser,” R. Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos,” and Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut,” as well as Scandinavian songs by Sibelius and Grieg.

The recital will be streamed live via the Met website and will then be available on-demand for 12 days.

Davidsen’s performance will be followed in this series by concerts featuring Joyce DiDonato, Sondra Radvanovsky, Piotr Beczała, and Anna Netrebko, among many others. DiDonato will be live from Barcelona, Spain on Sept. 12, while Radvanovsky and Beczala will appear from Barcelona on Sept. 26. Meanwhile, Netrebko will appear from Vienna on Oct. 10.
