Lise Davidsen Replaces Krassimira Stoyanova In Berlin

Krassimira Stoyanova has canceled concerts at the Staatsoper Berlin and the Berliner Philharmonie on June 9 and 10, 2019.

The Staatskapelle Berlin announced that Stoyanova is indisposed and as a result is unable to perform. As a result, Lise Davidsen will take over the concerts.

Davidsen is set to join Zubin Mehta in R.Strauss’ Four Last Songs, which she recently released on CD for Decca. The concerts will also include the composer’s Sinfonia Domestica.

Davidsen is scheduled to open the Bayreuth Festival in Wagner’s “Tannhauser” alongside Valery Gergiev and is also set to make her highly anticipated debut at the Metropolitan Opera in “The Queen of Spades”

Stoyanova returns to the stage for “Aida” in Chicago and will sing Elsa in “Lohengrin at the Bayreuth Festival this summer. She also returns to the Salzburg Festival for the Verdi Requiem.
