The Verbier Festival has announced its 30^th edition, which is set to take place between July 14-30, 2023.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal and operatic performances.

Kicking things off is Verdi’s Requiem with Lise Davidsen, Okka von der Damerau, Freddie De Tommaso, and Bryn Terfel. Daniele Gati conducts.

The Verbier Festival Academy’s Atelier Lyrique will present an opera program accompanied by Caroline Dowdle.

Bryn Terfel joins forces with Danil Trifonov for a recital.

Benjamin Bernheim and Carrie-Ann Matheson will perform music by Brahms and Schumann as well as Debussy and Duparc.

Renée Fleming and Evgeny Kissin will present a program of music by Schubert, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Duparc.

Academy singers will join forces with pianist James Bailleu to present a Lied recital.

James Gaffigan will lead the Verbier Festival Academy’s Atelier Lyrique Choir in Stravinsky’s “The Rake’s Progress.”
