Lise Davidsen, Jonas Kaufmann, Angel Blue, Aigul Akhmetshina & Bradley Cooper Lead Metropolitan Opera’s Summer HD Festival

The Metropolitan Opera has announced its annual Summer HD Festival, which will return to Lincoln Center Plaza.

The festival will run between August 22 and September 1.

THE 2025 MET SUMMER HD FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

The festival opens with “Maestro” starring Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan. The Academy Award–nominated biopic tells the story of the legendary American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre.

Verdi’s “Aida” will be presented in Michael Mayer’s new production with Angel Blue and Piotr Beczala.

Date: August 23, 2025


Beethoven’sFidelio will be presented from the March 2025 broadcast starring Lise Davidsen.

Date: August 24, 2025


Elza van den Heever stars in Strauss’sSalome in Claus Guth’s production.

Date: August 25, 2025


Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” will be shown from an April 2025 broadcast.

Jeanine Tesori’s Grounded will be showcased starring Emily D’Angelo.

Date: August 27, 2025


Benjamin Bernheim and Christian Van Horn lead Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” in Bartlett Sher’s production.

Date: August 28, 2025


Daniel Catán’s “Florencia en el Amazonas” is broadcast starring Ailyn Perez.

Date: August 29, 2025


Lise Davidsen and Freddie de Tommaso star in Puccini’s “Tosca” from a November 2024 broadcast.

Date: August 30, 2025


Aigul Akhmetshina stars in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” in Tony Award–winner Bartlett Sher’s staging.

Date: August 31, 2025


The festival ends with Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” from 2018 featuring Jonas Kaufmann.
