
Lise Davidsen Honored by Metropolitan Opera Club
By Francisco SalazarLise Davidsen has been named an honorary member of the Metropolitan Opera Club.
The soprano took to social media and said, “So lovely to become an honorary member of the Metropolitan Opera Club when they invited me to one of their members’ evenings in March. Wonderful to meet you all, and thank you so much for having me.”
The club was founded in 1893 and is a private club located on the Dress Circle level of the Metropolitan Opera House. The Club hosts special evenings and events where they honor artists or showcase singers or performers that may be new to Club members.
Davidsen recently completed a run of “Fidelio” at the Metropolitan Opera and is taking a break from the stage to give birth to her twins. She is currently planning to return to performing at the beginning of 2026 for “Tristan und Isolde” at the Metropolitan Opera.
