Lise Davidsen & Delphine Galou Present New CD/DVD Releases

This week, audiences are set to listen to one of the promising dramatic sopranos of her generation as she releases her first album for Decca. There is also a new album dedicated to baroque works.

Strauss

Lise Davidsen presents her debut solo album for Decca. The Norwegian soprano is on the verge of stardom and presents an album dedicated to Strauss, in particular, the Four Last Songs. The soprano also sings Lieder and an aria from “Ariadne auf Naxos.”  The album also includes arias from Wagner’s ‘Tannhäuser.”

Davidsen is joined by Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Philharmonia Orchestra. The U.S release of the album is set for later in June, but Europeans will get it this week.

Vivaldi 

Contralto Delphine Galou presents an album of arias by Vivaldi with conductor Ottavio Dattone and the Academia Byzantina. The album includes arias and cantatas by Vivaldi from some of his most famous works. Naive releases.
