Lisa Marie Rogali, Kevin Short, Marsha Thompson Headline Gulfshore Opera’s 2025-26 Season

Fort Myers’ Gulfshore Opera has announced “Season 12: Unparalleled, Unforgettable, Unmissable.”

First up is “Carmen” with the Florida Philharmonic and Naples Philharmonic.  The opera will star Lisa Marie Rogali in the title role.

“Carmen is high drama you can feel – melody, movement, and character in perfect tension,” said Steffanie Pearce, General Director and Artistic Director of Gulfshore Opera, in an official press release. “Season 12 channels that fearless energy across everything we present, pairing world-class voices with the approachable sophistication our audiences love.”

Performance Dates: Dec. 2, 2025 (Fort Myers), Dec. 4, 2025 (Punta Gorda), & Dec. 7, 2025 (Naples)


Next up is “In the Voice of Shakespeare” in Naples. The performance features a concert of arias, songs, and ensembles inspired by Shakespeare.

Performance Date: Jan. 23, 2026


The company will also present “As You Like It,” a taste off opera featuring arias, duets, and musical theater scenes with a Shakespearean twist.

Performance Date: Jan. 27, 2026


There will be a “Songs of Love” concert right before Valentine’s Day.

Performance Date: Feb. 7, 2026


“Masked Moments of Opera” will feature scenes from such operas as “Die Fledermaus,” “Un Ballo in Maschera,” and “The Tales o Hoffmann,” among others. The performance will also take place in Naples.

Performance Date: March 5, 2026


The season ends with “Porgy and Bess” in Punta Gorda and Naples. Kevin Short and Marsha Thompson headline the opera.

Performance Date: March 27, 2026 (Punta Gorda) & March 31 & April 1, 2026 (Naples)
