Lincoln Center Cancels Fall Performances and Festivals, Aims for February Reopening

By Logan Martell

As theaters across the country remain closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has announced that they will be canceling all fall events in its 2020-21 Great Performers Series, as well as this year’s David Rubenstein Atrium Season and White Light Festival.

Currently, the Great Performers Series is canceled through January 26. The series is aiming to resume performances beginning on February 6, 2021, depending on future guidelines put in place. The David Rubenstein Atrium Season will also try for reopening around the same time.

In the meantime, audiences at home can access a number of digital offerings from Lincoln Center at Home, including live and recorded performances, educational resources, and more.

Lincoln Center’s cancelation follows the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and the New York City Ballet.
