Australia’s Lights On Theatre will present Argento’s “Miss Havisham’s Wedding” this September as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival.

The opera will take the stage of the Chippen Street Theatre from Sept. 11 – 14, 2024, and features a cast starring Elizabeth Cooper, Sophie Rogut, Sarah Ampil, Nathaniel Kong, George Wohlfie, Victoria Abbott, Jacqueline Chapman, Jay Daniel, Samuel Herriman, and Spark Sanders Robinson.

The opera is presented in an arrangement with Origin Theatrical on behalf of Boosey and Hawkes Publishers Ltd.

Also on the program will be an original song cycle by Jorde Heys featuring sonnets by poet Lady Mary Wroth. The song cycle is described as “a response to Argento’s work.”

The production is sponsored by the Inner West Council.
