Light Opera of NJ Announces Cast Change for ‘The Barber of Seville’

By David Salazar

Light Opera of NJ has announced a cast change for its “The Barber of Seville” production.

The company revealed that Kelly Guerra will be performing the role of Rosina instead of Mayela López, who was originally scheduled to perform. She joins a cast that features Carlos Alberto López, Fabían Robles, Carlos Conde González, Gregory Sheppard, Vladimir Hristov, and Christina Lamberti. Jason Tramm conducts.

“I am delighted to welcome Ms. Guerra to this production. While cast changes are always challenging, Kelly has had great success and the role of Rosina and I know that the performances will be most exciting!” said Light Opera of NJ Executive Director Jason Tramm in an official press statement.

Performances are scheduled for Feb. 17, 2024, at Union County PAC in Rahway and Feb. 18 at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge.
