Light Opera of New Jersey Announces 2022-23 Season

The Light Opera of New Jersey has unveiled its 2022-23 season which will feature two operas.

First up will be a semi-staged version of Bernstein’s “Candide.”

Executive Director, Jason Tramm will lead the Light Opera of New Jersey Orchestra and a cast of over 60 singers in the production. Soloists include both opera and Broadway performers such as Victor Starsky in the title role. Joy Hermalyn, also serving as stage director, reprises her Broadway 1997 role as Old Lady. Other cast members include Chelsea Friedlander as Cunegonde, David Benoit as Dr. Pangloss, Ariana Warren in the role of Paquette, and Kyle Torrence as Maxillian. Ken Magos will interpret the Narrator.

Performance Dates: Oct. 22 & 23, 2022

That will be followed up by a production of Mozart and Da Ponte’s “Don Giovanni.”

Performance Dates: Feb. 24 & 26, 2023
