L’Ensemble Caprice and L’Ensemble ArtChoral will present a series of concerts centering on Händel’s “Messiah.”

The ensembles, under the musical direction of Matthias Maute, will open their “Messiah” tour at the Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Sherbrooke on Dec. 2, 2023. Then comes a performance at Cocathédrale Saint-Antoine de Padoue in Longueuil on Dec. 6.

The following night, the tour makes a stop at Boucherville’s Église Saint-Famille before a Dec. 9 performance at Québec’s Salle Raoul-Jobin.

Following an extended pause in performances, the groups will perform on Dec. 21, 2023, at Salle J.-Antonio-Thompson in Trois-Rivières before finishing up the series with a Dec. 22 showcase at the Maison Symphonique in Montréal.

Soloists for the run of performances include soprano Anna-Sophie Neher, alto Stéphanie Pothier, tenor Emmanuel Hasler, and baritone Marc Boucher.
