The Festival International de Musique Saint-Georges has announced Guadeloupéenne coloratura soprano Léïla Brédent will headline its 2023 festival.

Brédent will perform works by Mozart, “Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio!” and “No, no, che non sei capace” at the season finale concert on Nov 24. She will be accompanied by the Saint-Georges Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Artistic and Music Director Marlon Daniel.

Brédent frequently performs in stage productions and in concert settings around the world. She has toured with the Avignon-Provence National Orchestra under the direction of Julien Chauvin and was invited to perform on the set of the Grand Echiquier in France under the baton of Lionel Bringuier. She received the “Venus of Success” Prize in the Artists’ Words category awarded by the Expressions de France association in 2022.

The Festival International de Musique Saint-Georges is a tribute to Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745-99). It will take place Nov. 20-24 with other performances by the Saint-Georges Festival Orchestra and violinist Annelle Gregory.
