The Pittsburgh Opera season is set to close with Bellini’s “Norma.”

The masterpiece, written by Felice Romani, returns to Pittsburgh Opera for the first time since 1997. For this historic performance the opera will feature Leah Crocetto in her staged role debut of Norma and Jennifer Johnson Cano as Adalgisa. José Bros will sing the role of Pollione with Oren Gradus as Oroveso.

Antony Walker will conduct the production by Stephanie Havey.

Crocetto returns to Pittsburgh for the first time since her acclaimed “Tosca” in 2017. This season she is set to make her house debut at the Dallas Opera in “Don Carlo” and returns to the Sydney Opera House for “Aida.”

“Norma” is set to open on April 25 and closes on May 3, 2020.
