Leah Crocetto, Francesco Demuro, Irina Lungu & Maxim Mironov Lead Teatro Petruzzelli’s 2022 Season

Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde” opens the season with Andrew Richards and Lars Cleveman as Tristan and Gun-Brit Barkmin and Alexandra Lubchansky as Isolde. The cast also includes Stefanie Iranyi, Anna Werle, Rafal Siwek, Oliver Zwarg, Robert Bork, and Simon Schnorr. Marc Piollet conducts the production by Yannis Kokkos.
Performance Dates: Jan. 25-30, 2022
Leah Crocetto and Burçin Savigne lead Verdi’s “Aida” with Roberto Aronica, Dario Di Vietri, Carmen Topciu, Rossana Rinaldi, Abramo Rosalen, Ramaz Chikviladze, Vladimir Stoyanov, and Elia Fabbian. Renato Palumbo conducts Mariano Bauduin’s production.
Performance Dates: March 5-13, 2022
Francesco Demuro and Pietro Adaini alternate the title role of Massenet’s “Werther.” The cast also includes Ketevan Kemoklidze, Caterina Dellaere, Sara Rossini, Veronica Granatiero, Biagio Pizzuti, and Pierluigi Dilengite. Giampaolo Bisanti conducts the production by Tatjana Gürbaca.

Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” will star Cecilia Molinari and Lamia Beuque as Angelina, Pavel Kolgatin and Edoardo Milletti as Don Ramiro, Christian Senn and Pierluigi Dilengite as Dandini, Pablo Ruiz and Giuseppe Esposito as Don Magnifico, and Mirco Palazzi and Davide Giangregorio as Alidoro. Fabio Mastrangelo conducts Emma Dante’s production.

Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette” is set to star Ivan Magrì and Mario Rojas as Romeo and Irina Lungu and Giuliana Gianfaldoni as Juliette. The cast also includes Riccardo Fassi, Christian Senn, Gaetano Castillo, and Maria José Lo Monaco. Jordi Bernàcer conducts Éric Ruf’s production.
Performance Dates: Sept. 13-18, 2022
Tchiakovsky’s “The Queen of Spades” is set to star Ivan Gyngazov, Gragory Solovyev, Vasilii Efimov, Larisa Kostiuk, Elena Mikhailenko, and Iuliia Nikanorova. Valerii Kirianov conducts the production by Dmitry Bertman.
Performance Dates: Oct. 15-20, 2022
Maxim Mironov, Alasdair Kent, Damiana Mizzi, Veronica Granatiero, Giorgio Caoduro, Biagio Pizzuti, and Carlo Lepore star in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale.” Renato Palumbo conducts.
