Lawrence Brownlee, Brianna Hunter & Deanna Breiwick Highlight Seattle Opera’s 2021-22 Season

The Seattle Opera has announced its 2021-222 season.

The season opens with “La Bohème” starring Kang Wang, Yosep Kang, Talise Trevigne, Michael Chioldi, John Moore, Ginger Costa-Jackson, Brandie Sutton, Ashraf Swailam, Federico de Michelis, Eugene Villanueva, Theo Hoffman, and Barry Johnson. Joseph Colaneri conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 16-30, 2021

Key’mon Murrah, Christopher Ainslie, Sharleen Joynt, Deanna Breiwick, and Shelly Traverse star in Gluck’s “Orfeo and Eurydice” with Stephen Stubbs conducting.

Performance Dates: Jan. 12-30, 2022

Jeanine Tesori and Tazewell Thompson’s Blue will be performed starring Briana Hunter, Kenneth Kellogg, and Gordon Hawkins. Thompson directs the work with Viswa Subbaraman conducting.

Performance Dates: Feb. 26-March 12, 2022

Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” will conclude the season with Soraya Mafi, Anya Matanovic, Michael Sumuel, Ryan McKinny, Helena Dix, Marjukka Tepponen, Norman Garrett, Emily Fons, and Olga Syniakova. Alvettina Ioffe conducts the production by Peter Kazaras. 

Performance Dates: May 7-21, 2022

Recital 

Lawrence Brownlee will perform a recital alongside John Keene.
