Lauritz Melchior Singing Competition Announces 2024 Winners

The Lauritz Melchior Singing Competition has announced the 2024 winners.

The competition which was held on April 13 in Aalborg named Norwegian soprano Hedvig Haugerud first prize. She also won the orchestra prize.

The second prize went to Danish soprano Signe Heiberg, who also won the audience prize.

The third prize went to Danish tenor Anders Kampmann who will receive €6,000 while the fourth prize of €3,000 went to tenor Gareth Dafydd Morris from the United Kingdom.

The jury for the competition was Per Erik Veng, Waltraud Meier, Elisabeth Linton, Tobias Hasan, Lilli Paasikivi, Albert Dohmen, and Stephen Langridge.
