Lauren Easton, Owain Gwynfryn, Cheryl Forbes, & Siv Iren Misund Named Winners of Everybody Can! Awards

The Everybody Can! Robert Presley Professional Development Awards have named this year’s winners.

At the Everybody Can! competition held at St. Paul’s Church Covent Garden on Nov. 19, mezzo-sopranos Lauren Easton, Cheryl Forbes, and Siv Iren Misund, and baritone Owain Gwynfryn took home the top prizes.

The 10 finalists each performed an eight-minute set including one aria, with piano accompaniment. Michael Harper, Kate McGrath, John Allison, Jacques Cohen, Allyson Devenish, Della Jones, and Morag McLaren graced the judges panel to select four winners.

Awards given out include a live orchestra experience with conductor Jacques Cohen, three coaching sessions with a major UK Opera Company, a three day retreat with an Industry Facilitator to work on arias, a professional photo shoot with opera photographer Bill Knight, a professional video recording, a solo recital opportunity with pianist in the Everybody Can Over 35s Concert Series at a Central London Venue, a Tomatis®️ Listening Test & Audio Vocal Training, three months of Group High Performance Mindset Coaching, and a free premium memberships to Audition Oracle for one year.

Everybody Can! states its mission is to, “serve a community of artists over the age of 35 returning to the industry or transitioning in or out of it for the first time,” to “encourage a diverse culture in the worlds of opera and classical music,” and to “enhance a person’s state of mind through music.”
