Puccini’s “Tosca” will be presented at the Palacio de Congreso in Santiago de Compostela, Spain on June 9, 2019.

The performance, which starts at 9 p.m. local time, will be presented by Promópera and will star Laura Alonso Padín in the title role. The opera will also star Moisés Molín, Manuel Mas, Quintín Bueno, David Cervera, Ihor Voievodin, and Eva Montoto Pintos.

Michael Köhler directs.

This will be Padín’s role debut, with the soprano expanding into more dramatic territory in recent years. She is also set for her role debut of “Aida” in November, also at the Palacio de Congresos de Santiago de Compostela. She is coming off a series of performances of “La Traviata” in Lugo, Spain, as well as “La Voix Humaine” in Hamburg.

Molín has performed the role of Cavaradossi in “Tosca” at Oradea Bihor, Jerusalem, and Remscheid. Mas has interpreted Scarpia at Sóller, Inca, and Mallorca. He has also performed over a dozen performances of Sharpless in “Madama Butterfly” this year.
