Latonia Moore Headlines Washington Adventist University’s Anna H. Wang Presidential Concert Series

Soprano Latonia Moore will be taking part in the Washington Adventist University’s Anna H. Wang Presidential Concert Series this season.

Per an official press statement, the famed soprano will appear in concert on Sept. 24, 2022. The other concert this season will feature the Parker Quartet, which will take the stage on Jan. 28, 2023.

This season, Moore is set to take on the role of Leonora in “Il Trovatore” at the Washington National Opera in October. She is also set to appear at the Metropolitan Opera in such operas as “Champion,” “Aida,” and “La Bohème.” She will also be performing “Madama Butterfly” at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and “Mefistofele” at the Teatro Lirico di Caligari.

The concert series, which commemorates Anna H. Wang, who took up the violin at age 60 after a life of service in nursing and healthcare administration, were launched in 2017 by Wang’s family.
