Lara Tillotson & Caroline Tye Headline Regina Opera’s ‘Carmen’

The New York-based Regina Opera will open its 50th anniversary with Bizet’s “Carmen.”
The company will showcase a fully-staged conducted by Gregory Ortega and staged by Linda Lehr. Performances are scheduled to take place at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help school auditorium on Nov. 23 through Dec. 1, 2019.
The cast will include Lara Tillotson and Caroline Tye in the title role, Peter Hakjoon Kim and Christopher Trapani sharing the role of Don José, Nobuki Momma and Jaeman Yoon as Escamillo, and Maria Brea and Alexis Cregger alternating as Micaëla.
This season, the Regina opera will also showcase “Gianni Schicchi” and “Turandot.”
Regina Opera is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
