LA Opera Offers Us François Couperin Celebration During 2018-19 Season

The LA Opera will hold a concert this fall featuring Les Talens Lyriques. The performance, set for Oct. 11, 2018, will focus on the music of François Couperin.

Per a press release, the concert will celebrate the composer’s 350th anniversary of his birth and will include such artists as sopranos Amel Brahim-Djellou and Eugénie Warnier.

The showcase is being added to the company’s 2018-19 season as part of its Off grand Initiative and will take place at The Colburn School. The production has been made possible with the generous support of GRoW @ Annenberg.

The LA Opera’s upcoming season includes such works as “Satyagraha,” “La Clemenza di Tito,” “Don Carlo,” “Ell Gato Montés,” and “La Traviata.”
