The LA Opera has announced a cast change for its production of “Rigoletto.”

The company said that Lisette Oropesa will sing the role of Gilda from May 31 to June 15, while Kathryn Lewek will sing the role June 18 through 21. They will replace Rosa Feola, who was originally scheduled.

Oropesa has performed the role of Gilda at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Real, and and Bayerische Staatsoper, among others. Lewek is set to perform the role at the Cincinnati Opera this summer.

They are set to join a cast that includes Quinn Kelsey, René Barbera, Blake Denson, Peixin Chen, and Sarah Saturnino. James Conlon conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.
