La Monnaie is set to showcase Honegger’s “Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher” starting on Nov. 5, 2019.

The production of the dramatic oratorio will be directed by Romeo Castellucci; the work is presented as a co-production with Opéra de Lyon, the Perm State Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Theater Basel.

In the title role, audiences will get a chance to see Audrey Bonnet, who previously performed the work at the Opéra de Lyon when this very production opened back in 2017. She will be joined by Sébastien Dutrieux in the role of Frère Dominique.

The cast will also feature sopranos Ilse Eerens and Tineke Van Ingelgem as well as mezzo-soprano Aude Extrémo, tenor Jean-Noël Briend, and bass Jérôme Varnier. Kazhushi Ono conducts.

“Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher” will be presented six times through Nov. 12, 2019.
