L2 Artists Signs Three New Musicians

By Logan Martell

L2 Artists has announced that they have signed three new artists to their roster of performers: conductor Louis Lohraseb, soprano Susanne Burgess, and mezzo Amanda Lynn Bottoms.

Debuting at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in 2019, Lohraseb has conducted symphonic and operatic works with the Komische Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, and Indiana University’s IU Opera Theatre, where he will return to conduct “Don Giovanni” in September.

Currently set to make her Metropolitan Opera debut next season as Countess Ceprano in “Rigoletto,” Burgess recently performed the role of Helena in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with Des Moines Metro Opera, as well as Mabel in “Pirates of Penzance” with Atlanta Opera.

A recent graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at Washington National Opera, Bottoms will return to Santa Fe Opera this summer for their renowned Apprentice Artist Program, and will debut with LA Opera in the fall as the Mother in “Omar.” She recently performed the role of Paquette in “Candide” with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Maestro Nezet-Seguin, and Mercedes in “Carmen” with the Buffalo Philharmonic.

“It is with great excitement that we welcome Louis, Susanne, and Amanda to the L2 roster,” said President Jeffrey Larson in an official press statement. “Both myself and my colleagues at L2 look forward to supporting and expanding these emerging artists’ careers on opera stages and in concert halls around the world.”
