Kyle Ketelsen & Carrie-Ann Matheson to Present Recital as Part of Schwabacher Series

On June 16, the final concert of the Schwabacher series will showcase bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen and pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson.

They will be joined by participants of the 2026 Merola Opera Program, Shannon Crowley, Charlotte Kelso, Chester Seungyup Han, Ryan Bryce Johnson, Paul Jang,  and Deven Shah.

The program will feature songs by Ravel, Duparc, Rossini, Verdi, Schira and Respighi, along with excerpts from Act one of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and Act two of Puccini’s “Tosca.”

Ketelsen performs regularly with the San Francisco Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Dutch National Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera. Matheson is the San Francisco Opera Center and Merola Opera Program Artistic Director and has a multi-faceted international career as a pianist, conductor, educator and leadership coach.
