By Tano Factotum

Kristine Opolais will make her debut at the Teatro Colón on Oct. 30, 2021.

She will be accompanied by the Argentinian pianist Marcelo Ayub.

The program includes arias from “Adriana Lecouvreur,” “Otello,” “Tosca,” “Madama Butterfly,” “La Wally,” and “Mefistofeles.”

“I feel very special because is my first time in Buenos Aires. I’ve heard so many great words about this theater, so magical for me even before I stepped on the stage. I feel the energy. This hall is amazing and probably the most beautiful I saw in my life,” Opolais said in a statement for the Teatro Colón media.

The recital of Kristine Opolais is part of the Teatro Colón’s great international interpreters series. The company recently presented soprano Olga Peretyatko in recital as part of the series.
