
Kristin Hoff Wins 2025-28 Mécénat Musica Prix Goyer

Mezzo-soprano Kristin Hoff has been named the winner of the 2025-28 Mécénat Musica: Prix Goyer for Collaborative Emerging Artist, along with pianist Meagan Milatz.
The Mécénat Musica Prix Goyer laureates were each awarded $125,000 for their artistic contributions.
Hoff is the artistic and general director and co-founder of Musique 3 Femmes, a contemporary opera company that commissions, develops, and produces operas by female and non-binary creators. To date, Kristin and Musique 3 Femmes have commissioned 11 new operas by emerging female composers and librettists, presented 65 concerts and opera workshops in three counties, eight provinces, and 14 cities, including Montréal, Berlin, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver. Hoff is also executive director of Mini-Opéras Santé. Her performance engagements include the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, Tanglewood Symphony Orchestra, Mark Morris Dance Company, Chants Libres, Ensemble Caprice, Aramusique, Caramoor Festival, New York Festival of Song, and more.
Milatz performs regularly with top international musicians, including artists from the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Berlin Philharmonic, among many others. She is the co-founder, artistic and executive director of HausMusique chamber music concerts and holds a nine album recording contract with ATMA Classique. In 2024, Milatz was the recipient of the Prix Opus “Discovery of the Year,” and in 2019 was named one of CBC’s “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30.”

Mécénat Musica program has created more than $100,000,000 of in perpetuity capital for 50Québec cultural organizations with large donations from more than 600 Mécénat Musica individuals and families with funds administered by three partner community foundations: Foundation of Greater Montreal, the Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal, and Fondation Québec Philanthrope. Mécénat Musica has launched several health, culture, and community initiatives since March 2020, including 70 artist and donor initiatives consisting of 38 artist prizes, 15 artist residences, seven artist programs, and 10 Donor programs.
