By David Salazar

Spotlight Artists Management and Production is set to present “Opera Night in Manhattan” on Dec. 6, 2019 at the Gallery MC on west 52nd Street.

The event will feature a number of major artists including tenor Kristian Benedikt, who is set to perform in “The Queen of Spades” at the Metropolitan Opera this month. Joining him will be soprano Zoya Gramagin, pianist and composer Nataliya Medvedovskaya, soprano Dilara Unsal, tenor Mikhail Urusov, and mezzo-soprano Laura Virella.

Gramagin is a fixture at the St. Petersburg Opera, while Urusov performs frequently at the Bolshoi Theater and has made appearances at La Scala. Virella has appeared prominently with Mercury Opera and Long Beach Opera while Unsal placed second at the Lyra Voice Competition in 2018.

The event is set to feature a wide range of music from such operas as Menotti’s “The Consul,” Rodriguez’s “Frida,” and Verdi’s “Otello,” among many others.

Spotlight Artists Management and Production was founded by Natalie Burlulskaya and Gramagin in 2012.
