The Korea National Opera is set to hold the “2025 Korea National Opera Cultural Sharing Year-End Concert” on Dec. 19.

This concert is presented by four members of the National Opera Studio Youth Education Group. The group will perform famous arias and duets from opera such as “Die Fledermaus” and “The Barber of Seville.” They will also perform musical numbers and animation theme songs tailored to children. Additionally, members of the Youth Education Group will provide brief commentary on the pieces, ensuring that even young audiences can easily and naturally understand the opera.

Choi Sang-ho, director of the Korea National Opera, said in a press release, “I hope this performance will provide young artists with an opportunity to experience the public role and social responsibility of art, and will also plant the seeds of new dreams for children.”

In 2023, The Korea National Opera launched its cultural sharing concerts, which include regular visits to orphanages and welfare centers. The concert will take place at the “Dream Growing House,” a child welfare facility in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
