Bampton Classical Opera will present “A Musical Celebration” on Dec. 7, 2024 at St. Mary’s Church in Oxfordshire.

The performance features countertenor Kieron-Connor Valentine taking on songs and arias by Rhys Joines, T. Soborne Roberts, Alain Boulil, Jake Heggie, Chalin, Berlin, and Amanda McBroom, among others, alongside pianists André Bertoncini and Jeremy Gray. The Bampton Winds also perform works by Mozart and Poulenc.

Valentine and Bertoncini are the prize-winners in the 2023 Bampton Young Singers’ Competition. The countertenor is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and has performed with Glyndebourne Touring Opera. He has won such prizes as  Southport Singer of the Year; Liverpool Singer of the Year; The Stiwt Young Singer of the Year; and Liverpool’s Most Promising Singer of the Year Award.
