Kiandra Howarth, Charlotte Bowden & Hanna Husáhr Headline OperaVision’s January 2022 Streaming Lineup

OperaVision has announced its streams for the month of January.

Polly Graham’s production of Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” from the Royal College of Music kicks off the streaming slate. The opera features Jamie Woollard as Sarastro, Michael Bell as Tamino, Charlotte Bowden as Pamina, and Clara Barbier as Die Königin der Nacht. The cast also includes Dafydd Allen, Henry Wright, Daniel Bell, Sofie Lund-Tonnesen, Annabel Kennedy, Emma Roberts, Leah Redmond, Denira Coleman, Taryn Surratt, Sofia Kirwan-Baez, Edward Jowle, Dafydd Jones, Sam Harris, Redmond Sanders, Maddie Boreham, Angelina Dorlin-Barlow, Matt Curtis, and Sam Hird. Michael Rosewell conducts the Royal College of Music Opera Orchestra.

Streaming dates: Jan. 1 – July 1, 2022

Next up is “Le Nozze di Figaro” from the Staatstheater Hannover. The opera stars Germán Olvera and Hubert Zapiór as Count Almaviva; Kiandra Howarth and Matilda Sterby as Countess Almaviva; Sarah Brady and Nikki Treurniet as Susanna; and Richard Walshe and Pavel Chervinsky in the title role. The cast also includes Nina van Essen, Monika Walerowicz, Daniel Eggert, Philipp Kapeller, Pawel Brozek, Peter O’Reilly, Petra Radulovic, Frank Schneiders, and Markus Suihkonen. Giulio Cilona conducts a production by Lydia Steier.

Streaming dates: Jan. 20 – July 20, 2022

OperaVision closes out the month with the Royal Swedish Opera’s production of Mats Larsson Gothe and Susanne Marko’s “Löftet.” The opera spotlights Hanna Husáhr, Agnes Auer, Karl-Magnus Fredriksson, Niklas Björling Rygert, Susann Végh, Kristian Flor, Clifford Lewis, Jesper Taube, and Karolina Blixt. Alan Gilbert conducts a production by Stefan Larsson.
