Kathryn Lewek, Elizabeth Caballero, & Michael Mayes Star in Nashville Opera’s 2019-20 Season

The Nashville Opera has announced its 2019-20 season which will feature four operas.

The season opens with Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” featuring soprano Elizabeth Caballero as Cio-Cio San. The performances are set to take place at TPAC Jackson Hall.

Performance Dates: Oct. 10, 12, 2019

In time for the holidays, the company will produce “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” with two of the performances set to be family-friendly events with children’s activities. There will even be a holiday singalong as well. Performances will take place at the Liff Center.

Performance Dates:  Dec. 13-15, 2019

“The Turn of the Screw” will follow with Lara Secord-Haid as the Governess. Performances of the Britten classic are also set for the Liff Center.

Performance Dates: Jan. 24-26, 2020

Finally, the season ends with Verdi’s “Rigoletto” in a production featuring Michael Mayes in the title role and Kathryn Lewek as his daughter Gilda. Performances will take place at the TPAC Jackson Hall.
