Kathryn Lewek, Alexandra LoBianco, Kevin Thompson, & Symone Harcum Star in Virginia Opera’s 2026-27 Season

Adam Turner conducts the Virginia Symphony Orchestra in Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci,” starring Kathryn Lewek and Sarah Tucker as Nedda with Zach Borichevsky as Canio. Kidon Choi, Hunter Enoch, and Carlos Ahrens are also among the cast led by Kyle Lang.
Performance Dates: Nov. 6 -22, 2026 (Norfolk, Richmond, & Fairfax)
Brandon Eldredge conducts Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” with Maggie Kinabrew and Melanie Dubi in the title roles. They are joined by Lindsey Polcyn, Joel Clemens, Nia Spauldin, the Virginia Children’s Chorus, and Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Stephanie Havey directs.
Performance Dates: Jan. 29 – Feb. 7, 2027 (Norfolk & Richmond)
Closing the season is Puccini’s “Turandot,” with Alexandra LoBianco in the title role. She is joined by Samuel White, Symone Harcum, Kevin Thompson, David Blalock, Joel Clemens, Carlos Ahrens, Yichen Xue, and Xiaojie Ji. Kyle Lang directs. Adam Turner conducts the Richmond Symphony.
