Kathleen Farrar Buccleugh Headlines Opera Birmingham’s Latest ‘Opera Shots’
By David SalazarAlabama’s Opera Birmingham is joining forces with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra to present “Tunes on Tap / Opera Shots” on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Back Forty Beer Co.
The event is part of the company’s casual pop-up concerts throughout the community. The event will feature soprano Kathleen Farrar Buccleugh who will take on music from “La Bohème,” “Sweeney Todd,” and “The Secret Garden.”
The showcase kicks off at 6:30 p.m. local time and will be one hour long in duration. “Tunes on Tap” is sponsored by Medical Properties Trust and Stewart / Perry. It is hosted by the ASO Junior Patrons. “Opera Shots” is sponsored by Medical Properties Trust and VIVA Health.
Opera Birmingham recently presented its Vocal Competition. ” Next up is “Opera Unveiled: A Concert of Greatest Hits,” replacing its previously announced production of “Pagliacci.”
