Katarina Dalayman Set to Make Glyndebourne Festival Debut

The Glyndebourne Festival has announced that Katarina Dalayman is set to make her company debut in Poulenc’s “Dialogues des Carmélites.”

She will replace Doris Soffel in the role of Madame de Croissy.

Dalayman, who is now focusing on mezzo roles is set to appear in “Suor Angelica” at the Berlin Philharmonic and “Die Walküre” at Kungliga Operan in Stockholm.

Dalayman will join a superstar cast that features such artists as Danielle de Niese as Blanche de la Force with Golda Schultz as Madame Lidoine and Karen Cargill as Mère Marie. Other cast members include Paul Gay, Florie Valiquette, Cyrille Dubois, and Vincent Ordonneau. Robin Ticciati will conduct the production by Barrie Kosky.

The production kicks off on May 21, 2020 and runs through July 19, 2020 with the final performance set to be broadcast live in cinemas and online.
