Fall 2026
The season opens with Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” with Kerrigan Bigelow as Gretel, alongside returning Lisa Chavez as the Witch, and Lindsey Polcyn as Gertrude. Spencer Reichman will make his company debut as the Father. Anthony Barrese conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 30-Nov. 14, 2026
Winter 2027
Virginia Mims and tenor Luke Norvell headline Verdi’s “La Traviata.” Marco Nisticò directs and Marcello Cormio conducts.
Performance Dates: Feb. 6-March 20, 2027
Arthur Sullivan’s “H.M.S. Pinafore” stars Hanna Brammer, Jake Stamatis, Derrek Stark, Ralph Rackstraw, and Alissa Anderson.
The conductor will be John Spencer IV.
Performance Dates: Feb. 13-March 19, 2027
Mary Evelyn Hangley, Abigail Raiford and Tessa Fackelmann will star in Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos.” Sarasota Opera mainstay Martha Collins directs, and Jessé Martins conducts.
Performance Dates: Feb. 27-March 13, 2027
Kathryn Henry sings the title role in Janáček’s “Jenůfa.” The production also star superstar Karita Mattila, Victor Starsky and Christopher Oglesby.
David Neely conducts and Katherine M. Carter directs.
Performance Dates: March 6-21, 2027
