Karine Deshayes, Ermonela Jaho & Stéphanie d’Oustrac Lead Opéra de Lille’s 2026-27 Season

The Opéra de Lille has announced its 2026-27 Season.

Karine Deshayes leads Händel’s “Alcina” with Adèle Charvet, Jasmin White, Lunga Eric Hallam, Lilit Davtyan, Camille Chopin, and Ashley Riches. Emmanuelle Haïm conducts the production by Ewelina Marciniak.

Performance Dates: Oct. 6-17, 2026


Nina Guo, Jade Phoenix, Sarah Richmond, and Doreen Curran lead Jennifer Walshe’s “Mars.” Elaine Kelly conducts the production by Tom Creed and Jennifer Walshe.

Performance Dates: Jan. 13-16, 2027


Stéphanie d’Oustrac leads Piazzolla’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” with Christine Audat, Sandra Rumolino, Sapho, and Maya Alban-Zapata. Nicolas Agullo conducts Giulia Giammona’s production.

Performance Dates: March 11-20, 2027


Owen Metsileng headlines Verdi’s “Otello” with Elena Tsallagova and Seth Carico. Dmitry Matvienko conducts the production by Árpád Schilling.

Performance Dates: May 10-June 3, 2027


“Un voyage en bateau” by Adriano Banchieri and Franziska Kronfoth will be presented.

Performance Dates: May 21 & 23, 2027


Concert 

Les Kapsber’girls, Gabrielle Varbetian, and Albane Imbs perform music by Francesca Caccini, Robert de Visée, Jean-Baptiste Drouart de Bousset, Francesco Corbetta, Johann Hieronymus Kapsberger, Barbara Strozzi, Étienne Moulinié, Gaspar Sanz, Antonia Bembo, Henry de Bailly, José Marín, Gaspar Sanz, and José Marín.

Performance Date: Sept. 24, 2026


“De Materie” by Louis Andriessen will star Elmar Gilbertsson, Katrien Baerts, and Lies Pauwels. Bas Wiegers conducts the production by Phia Ménard.

Performance Date: Sept. 27, 2026


Brenda Poupard and Kaoli Ono perform works by Kaoli Ono, Augusta Holmès, Pauline Viardot, Rita Strohl, and Claude Debussy.

Performance Date: Oct. 22, 2026


Ermonela Jaho and Anna El-Khashem perform scenes from works by Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni, Alfredo Catalani, Licinio Recife, Francesco Celia, and Riccardo Zandonai. Francesco Cilluffo conducts.

Performance Date: Dec. 3 & 6, 2026


Opéra Games 2027 will be held for families.

Performance Date: Feb. 25-28, 2027


Camille Chopin leads a program of music by Couperin and Charpentier with Emmanuelle Haïm.

Performance Date: March 23, 2027


Esther Verheye, Hugo Kampschreur, and Werner Van Mechelen lead “Lucifer / De Schelde” by Peter Benoit. Stephan Zilias conducts.
