Soprano Karen Slack is set to present a recital alongside pianist Reed Tetzloff on Feb. 18 at The Revelation Gallery at St. John’s in the Village in New York. On the 23rd, the duo will repeat the recital at Jacobs Music in Trenton, New Jersey.

The program for both showcases will feature songs by Schubert, R. Strauss, Turina, Ravel, H.L. Adams, H.T. Burleigh and U.S. Moore; and spirituals arranged by M. Hogan.

“I love the artistic possibilities of the human voice and a piano in an intimate space. Creating this new program and collaborating with Reed Tetzloff will be a highlight of my season,” stated Slack in a press release.

Slack is coming off a strong 2019 in which she returned to the Metropolitan Opera for “Porgy and Bess” and also appeared in the World Premiere of “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis as well as the first performances of “Healing Tones” with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
