
Karen Chia-ling Ho, Olga Kulchynska, Mattia Olivieri, Lucia Lucas & Iestyn Davies Lead Santa Fe Opera’s 2026 Season

Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” will open the season with a revival production directed by Melanie Bacaling. The cast will include Karen Chia-ling Ho, Stephen Costello, Jonathan Burton, Jarrett Ott, and Sun-Ly Pierce. John Fiore conducts.
Performance Dates: July 3-29, 2026
Harry Bicket conducts Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” in a production by Christopher Luscombe. Josh Lovell, Joélle Harvey, Rainelle Krause, Alexander Köpeczi, Will Liverman, Spencer Hamlin, and Le Bu star.
Performance Dates: July 4-28, 2026
Olga Kulchynska and Mattia Olivieri star in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” with Iván Ayón-Rivas, Elmina Hasan, and Alexander Köpeczi. Keri-Lynn Wilson and Robert Tweten conduct Alessandro Talevi’s production.
Performance Dates: July 18-August 19, 2026
Handel’s “Rodelinda” will be conducted by Harry Bicket and directed by R.B. Schlather. Lucy Crowe, Iestyn Davies, Anthony Gregory, Meridian Prall, Hugh Cutting, and William Guanbo Su star.
Performance Dates: July 25-August 21, 2026
Tobias Picker and Aryeh Lev Stollman’s “Lili Elbe” will star Lucia Lucas, Sylvia D’Eramo, Josh Lovell, Lindsay Ammann, and Andrew Harris. Roberto Kalb conducts the production by James Robinson.

Apprentice Scenes will feature the Apprentice Program for Singers and the Apprentice Program for Theater Technicians.
