Karen Cargill, Angela Meade, Hera Hyesang-Park, Anna Larsson Headline San Diego Symphony’s 2024-25 Season

San Diego Symphony has unveiled its 2024-25 season. Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.

Opening Night will feature several soloists, including soprano Hera Hyesang-Park performing “Una voce poco fa” from “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” The program, which will be conducted by Rafael Payare, will also feature music by Paganini, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, and a world premiere by Texu Kim.

Performance Date: Sept. 28, 2024

Rafael Payare leads Mahler’s Second Symphony with Angela Meade and Anna Larsson as the soloists. The program also features a work by Thomas Larcher.

Performance Date: Oct. 4-6, 2024

The ensemble will present Nicolas Lell Benavides and Marella Martin Koch’s “Tres Minutos.”

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2024

Christopher Dragon conducts “Noel Noel” with the San Diego Children’s Choir and San Diego Master Chorale.

Performance Date: Dec. 13-15, 2024

Rafael Payare conducts Mahler’s Third Symphony with Karen Cargill as the soloist.

Performance Date: May 23 – 25, 2025
