Askonas Holt has announced that South Korean bass-baritone Jusung Gabriel Park has joined its  roster of artists.

Recently, Park has taken home prizes from various international competitions, such as Operalia, the Schubert Lied Competition, and The Korea National Opera Competition. In 2021, he represented South Korea at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, and las summer won the International Bel Canto Prize at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad.

He has recently joined the Wiener Staatsoper’s Opernstudio and will continue through its 20 23-24 season.

Other recent appearances include Park’s debut performance of Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9” at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the title role in Mendelssohn’s “Elias” with the Bayerischen Rundfunk Chor & Orchestra, and a recital at Festwochen Gmuden with Helmut Deutsch.
