The Jussi Björling Society USA will host a webinar discussion between opera critic Conrad L. Osborne and Teatro Nuovo General and Artistic Director Will Crutchfield on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

The conversation, to take place over Zoom, will center on opera’s place in contemporary society. Participants may submit questions in advance for consideration during the discussion, which will be followed by an informal conversation among attendees, Crutchfield, and Osborne.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. ET.

Later in the season, the society will present a discussion titled “Singing Puccini” with Metropolitan Opera broadcast commentator Ira Siff and tenors Richard Leech, Jonathan Burton, and Matthew Polenzani, scheduled for November.
