Orchestre de l’Agora will present the fourth edition of the “Gala de la Terre” on July 4, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fernand-Lindsay Amphitheatre in Joliette, Quebec.

The concert, which will be conducted by Conductor and Artistic Director Nicolas Ellis, will mark the opening of the Festival de Lanaudière at Canada’s largest outdoor concert venue.

The evening opens with Claude Champagne’s “Symphonie gaspésienne,” performed in tribute to Le Saint-Laurent, this year’s supported environmental project from the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

The program also features soprano Julie Fuchs, who will perform Ravel’s “Shéhérazade,” as well as Katia Makdissi-Warren’s “Chorus Nunavik,” a work inspired by Inuit vocal traditions performed alongside katajjaq artists Lydia Etok and Nina Segalowitz. The concert culminates with Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.”

“Gala de la Terre was born from the belief that when culture, community, and conscience converge, something greater becomes possible. As we gather for the 2026 edition, we celebrate our planet not only through music, but through meaningful action, turning intention into impact and shaping, together, the world that will carry our light forward,” said Bita Cattelan, founder of “Gala de la Terre” and Honorary President of the 2026 Edition, per an official press release.

Five dollars from each ticket sold will be donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Le Saint-Laurent project. Since its first edition in 2020, the Gala de la Terre has raised $513,000 for environmental protection, with funds directed to organizations actively working to protect fragile ecosystems in Quebec. The event was awarded Musical Event of the Year at the Prix Opus in 2022 and was a finalist for the same prize in 2024.
