Julia Bullock, Sasha Cooke, Scott Hendricks Headline Kansas City Symphony’s 2022-23 Season

The Kansas City Symphony has announced its 2022-23 season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal and operatic performances.

Domingo Hindoyan will conduct a performance featuring music by Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Berlioz. The KC Symphony Orchestra Chorus will perform Brahms’ “Nänie” and “Schicksalslied.”

Performance Dates: Oct. 28 – 30, 2022

Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and baritone Scott Hendricks will perform Paul Hindemith’s “When Lilacs last in the Dooryward Bloom’d.” They will be joined by the KC Symphony Chorus and conductor Michael Stern. The performance will also feature music by Haydn and Holst.

Performance Dates: April 21-23, 2023

Soprano Julia Bullock will headline music by Jessie Montgomery, Fredrick Delius, and Mahler’s Fourth Symphony. Michael Stern conducts.

Performance Dates: June 2-4, 2023
