Juilliard School Announces 2023-24 Season

The Juilliard School has announced several of the vocal programs that it will have on offer during the 2023-24 season.

“Vox Celli Cello!” is a cello choir program that will be coached by Joshua Roman and developed in partnership with Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts and Center for Innovation in the Arts. The showcase will include music by Gitz Razaz, Arvo Pärt, Villa-Lobos, and Julius Eastman.

Performance Date: Oct. 3, 2023

There will be a performance featuring compositions by Elle Taaffe Zwilich.

Performance Date: Dec. 7, 2023

“The Mad King” will feature instrumental and vocal arts students as they take on Maxwell Davies’ “Eight Songs for a Mad King,” Saariaho’s “From the Grammar of Dreams,” and Schönberg’s “Ode to Napoleon.

Performance Date: March 15, 2024

The company also recently revealed the program for its opera season, which includes works by Musto, Cavalli, and Mozart.
