Superstar tenor Juan Diego Flórez will perform in recital at the Los Angeles Opera this coming January.

On Jan. 23, 2023, the tenor will appear alongside longtime collaborator Vincenzo Scalera. The showcase will feature Italian songs alongside arias by such composers as Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, and Lalo.

The showcase starts at 7:30 p.m. local time at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Flórez recently performed in recital at the Opernhaus Zürich and is set to open a production of “La Fille du Régiment” at the Vienna State Opera on Dec. 25.

Following the LA recital, the Peruvian tenor will perform concerts in Washington D.C., Carnegie Hall, Chicago, Vienna, Linz, and Barcelona. He is also scheduled to perform in Teatro alla Scala’s production of “Lucia di Lammermoor” under conductor Riccardo Chailly and director Yannis Kokkos.
