Juan Diego Flórez Announces New Album ‘Zarzuela’

Juan Diego Flórez has announced his upcoming album “Zarzuela” which will be released on his new record label on Sept. 20, 2024.

The Florez Records production will showcase the tenor in works by José Serrano, Federico Moreno Torroba, Pablo Luna, Ruperto Chapí, Gerónimo Giménez, Rafael Calleja & Tomás Barrera, Reveriano Soutullo & Juan Vert, Amadeo Vives, and Agustín Pérez Soriano.

Flórez is joined by the Sinfonía por el Perú Youth Orchestra and Choir, the artistic ensembles that are part of the social organization that he presides, and for thirteen years has been working to transform the lives of thousands of Peruvian children and young people.

The album was recorded in January 2024 at the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima and conducted by Spanish conductor Guillermo García Calvo.

The release will coincide with a tour of European cultural centers such as the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, and the Philharmonie de Paris.
