The American Academy of Teachers of Singing has recognized Joyce DiDonato | EDEN with a 2023 AATS Award.

The award is “in recognition of artistic projects that model engagement and activism, and that highlight the importance of community.”

DiDonato has championed artistic projects that have focused on prison reform, the plight of refugees, our times of war and peace, and the need for music education for all.

Her latest project EDEN partners with youth choirs, engaging children in a musical message for our time, and invites us all to explore our best selves—to create a new EDEN from within and to plant seeds of hope for the future.

The mezzo-soprano is a Grammy and Olivier Award who has performed at every major opera house in the world including the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Wiener Staatsoper.
